ello and welcome! Thank you for considering us as you prepare for your upcoming ceremony. I'm Kelly, the lead designer and officiant/celebrant at Sanibel Studios.
As an officiant and celebrant, I have the most wonderful opportunity to blend my love for the celebration of significant life events with my passion for working with people. What a joy and an honor to be a part of bringing family, friends and colleagues together in celebration of a new union, family addition, a professional gathering and other special occasions in life! Because I delight in the opportunity to provide connection between people, the role of a celebrant seems to suit me well.
Growing up in Northern Wisconsin and living in Minneapolis for many years, I am Midwestern girl at heart. I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and my masters degree in Counseling and Higher Education Administration. After teaching and working in the university setting up north, I moved to Sanibel and Captiva in 2003 and found that with my event planning experience, it was a natural fit to become involved with weddings and events on the islands. Upon becoming a Notary Public in the State of Florida and ordained by the Universal Life Church, I began officiating weddings and vow renewal ceremonies. This grew to include blessings and welcoming ceremonies. Now we are offering planning and consulting for conferences and workshops, as well as retreat development and implementation.
The signature of my ceremonies is the calming and peaceful presence I bring as I guide my clients through their moments of celebration. Professionalism, style and warmth are the key components to my approach as a celebrant and planner. I have sharp organizational skills and I absolutely love creating and designing ceremonies. As a former teacher and university administrator, I take pleasure in working with people to help them achieve their goals. And so it is truly an honor to assist my clients in realizing their dream with the production of an amazing ceremony or event.
